hether this is your first time, "it's been a while", or you're a seasoned pro you can relax and feel confident that you are in good hands. For newbies the hard part is over, you've done your homework and chosen a highly experienced professional. The anticipation of the experience is much worse than the very brief sensation of the hair being removed. Most women actually remark after the service, "that wasn't bad at all!"


How long should my hair be? If you are growing out from shaving we recommend 2-3 weeks of growth (approx 1/4" if you're good at measurements), the longer the better. We can trim if necessary


What other preparations can I make prior to my service? We recommend gently exfoliating the area before your appointment. And no extreme heat (sunbathing, saunas, etc.) 24 hrs before or after (this includes vigorous workouts).


What kind of wax do you use? Our predominant wax of choice is a high quality, high performing hard wax. We prefer hard wax in most areas because it's better for sensitive skin. Why? Hard wax melts at a lower temperature and is thicker and more "waxy" compared to the sticky substance that is strip wax. Therefore it wraps around and grabs hair without sticking too much to the skin. This reduces the incidence of injury to the skin thus making it a less painful experience. That being said we do prefer strip wax for hardier areas of the body such as the legs and arms.


Is it painful? If not done properly and with lack of experience hair removal can be seriously uncomfortable (we've all heard horror stories). When done correctly however you can expect very brief discomfort (when we pull the wax) that quickly dissipates. For peace of mind you can take an anti-inflammatory or pain reliever 30 min prior to your appointment.


BROW POLICY

At PREEN we respect your brows' natural shape. Don't worry, we will not make them "too thin". We carefully wax the area where you don't want hair above, below, and between the brows. Then we selectively tweeze individual hairs to accentuate your unique shape. And if your preference is a more manicured brow, we can always take more away after we've cleaned them up. We prefer to consult with you throughout the entire appointment so we're always on the same page. And if you've suffered some sort of brow mishap, don't worry we'll work together to get them back on track.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We require a credit card to make and hold your appointment time. In the event you are unable to make your scheduled appointment we require a minimum of 12 hours notice. Appointments changed or cancelled with less than the courtesy 12 hours notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 100%. Missed appointments are also subject to our cancellation fee. If you arrive late to your appointment it is at our discretion to determine whether or not we can perform the full service in the remaining time allowed.
